On a related note, GRCA is managing the Downtown Facade Improvement Grant on behalf of the Berks Alliance, which is funding the program. ­ Goals of the program include improving the external appearance, lighting, and security of storefronts; enhancing the attractiveness of downtown Reading; and preserving and restoring historic properties.
