The full length of Penn Street in center city comes alive with the sights and sounds of the holidays during the annual Reading Holiday Parade! Held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, this family-oriented tradition features colorful floats, holiday-themed music by local school and community bands, and lots of other lively entertainment.

Organized and presented by the Reading Downtown Improvement District and the Mayor’s Office of the City of Reading, the Reading Holiday Parade is a great way to kick off the holiday season!

This year's parade is scheduled for Saturday, November 17, stepping off at 10 a.m. (PLEASE NOTE THE NEW STARTING TIME!) The parade theme is “Shine Bright, Reading.”

If you'd like to participate, click here for a general application form and click here for a band application form. General information for parade participants is available here. And we have plenty of opportunities for sponsorships! From sponsoring a high school band to a giant helium balloon, you have a chance to promote your company or organization at one of the most highly attended events in Berks County. Find out more about sponsorship opportunities right here.

A special thanks to the Reading Area Water Authority for being this year’s Title Sponsor.

We hope you'll join us for the 2018 Holiday Parade!
